Teaching & Work Experience

12 years teaching Health, Fitness and Exercise Science Courses, Physical Education Department, College of Health Sciences and Human Performance

Assistant Professor Bohnert believes students develop a better learning experience through the practical application of physical education and exercise science.  She regularly encourages students to apply what they have learned by getting out of the typical "classroom" environment.

10 years’ work experience with Indiana University Division of Recreational Sports, 20+ years of Personal Training and Group Exercise Instruction (Methods such as: HIIT Training, Yoga, Pilates, Cycling and Shallow/Deep Water Exercise).

Professor Bohnert finds that the best part of being in the College of Health Sciences and Human Performance is the opportunity to physically move every day with her students.  Also, to continually share the best health and fitness practices made available through the latest research and field studies.
